ESL Educational Requirements
The educational requirements for this career vary from state to state and from school to school. Many schools offer a quick and easy 40 hour diploma program. This will give you the basic information that you need to begin your career as an ESL teacher. Some of these colleges offer more advanced diplomas that will require up to 120 hours of learning. These Master type courses inundate the student to become an excellent educator. You may also have the opportunity to learn how to integrate English into the very core of the business world. If you wish to become a teacher, you will be required to have at least a Bachelor's Degree. You can then pursue a more focused education on becoming an ESL teacher. You will basically need to have your Bachelor's Degree and teaching certificate to become a licensed and certified ESL teacher.
